A four-member delegation of the University of Newcastle Australia (UON) visited our school on September 17. Principal Zhou Pengcheng and Vice Principle Yang Wenke met with the honored guests including the president of UON and the dean of the Confucius Institute of UON.
After a brief introduction to the running status and the educational ideas of our school, Principal Zhou Pengcheng made a detailed interpretation to the guests about the current cooperation of the school with oversea colleges and universities as well as the existing student exchange programs. President of UON outlined the admission requirements for HSY graduates, and introduced the strong disciplines of the university, such as Architecture and Medicine. Through their discussion, the two sides explored the possibilities of collaboration in student joint education, short-term exchange programs and faculty visit programs. In the end, the two parties reached a preliminary agreement on a few preferential policies of recruiting HSY graduates to UON, thus expanding new areas for faculty and students to participate in international exchange and cooperation.
