坎特伯雷大学(University of Canterbury)招生通知

  我校于2006年同新西兰坎特伯雷大学签署协议,双方将展开广泛的教育交流与合作。作为该协议的一部分,新西兰坎特伯雷大学将为我校申请就读该校的毕业生提供(全额或部分)奖学金。

  坎特伯雷大学(http://www.canterbury.ac.nz)是世界知名大学,位于新西兰的基督城市。基督城是湖北省武汉市的友好城市,坎特伯雷大学与武汉市的多所高校有十分密切的合作关系。

  该招生在我国2009年湖北省高考录取分数线划定后进行,报名工作已在进行。奖学金项目要求考生高考分数达湖北省“一本”线以上,按考生申请经过英语水平测试和面试之后择优录取。(坎特伯雷大学还将在我校招录少量自费留学生,要求申请考生高考分数达湖北省“二本”线以上。)

UNIVERSITY OF CANTERBURY FRIENDSHIP CITY SCHOLARSHIPS

Wuhan No 1 Middle School attached to Central China Normal University

To foster friendship with Wuhan City through No 1 Middle School attached to CCNU, the University of Canterbury encourages academically excellent international students from Wuhan to apply for the following full fee waiver scholarships highlighted below in 2009, as well as the partial fee waiver listed in table on second page of this document.

  1. Bachelor of Commerce – successful candidate will be granted a 100% fees waiver for three years to complete a Bachelor of Commerce at the University of Canterbury. This scholarship over three years has a value in excess of $NZ 70,000.

  1. Bachelor of Engineering – successful candidate will be granted a 100% fees waiver for four years to complete a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science at the University of Canterbury. This scholarship over four years has value in excess of $120,000.

These scholarships are being sponsored by the Colleges of Business and Economics and the College of Engineering.

1. The scholarships shall be known as the University of Canterbury Friendship City Scholarships (Wuhan No 1 Middle School attached to Central China Normal University).

2. The full fee waiver scholarships shall be awarded to two gifted students from the Wuhan No 1 Middle School attached to CCNU who have expressed interest in studying abroad.

3. The partial fee waiver scholarships shall be awarded to talented students from Wuhan who have expressed interest in studying abroad.

4. The full fees waiver scholarships shall be awarded on the basis of the grades that students have achieved in the national university entrance examination and on the quality of the student’s academic achievement at the Wuhan No 1 Middle School attached to CCNU following pre-selection by the principal teacher and an interview with staff of the University of Canterbury.

5. Each scholarship shall be credited directly to the student’s fees account at the time of enrolment at the University of Canterbury.

6. The scholarships may be held with any other scholarship or award unless the conditions of the other award preclude this.

7. For all scholarships, continuation each year shall be conditional upon the scholar maintaining satisfactory academic progress and such continuation shall be confirmed to the scholar in writing once final examination results have been released.

Note: Satisfactory academic progress is defined as the student maintaining a minimum B grade average over each academic year.

8. The University may withdraw a scholarship at any time if satisfied that the student is not diligently pursuing the prescribed course.

9. The scholarships shall not be subject to a service fee.
