Sports club director: Tang Jinming

The club was presented the "Sports Competition outstanding achievements Award" in September, 2011 and this award has greatly encouraged the club staff.

Since Principal Zhou founded thei Optics Valley Youth Sports Club in 2006, the development the sports in our school has taken off.

In 2013 the track team won two bronze medald in the international Middle School Athletics Championship held in Czech Republic

The track and field team has won twenty gold medals and Several silver and bronze medals in national high school sports matches.

Our school hosted the 2008 national high school track and field championships match and was well acknowledged by the Ministry of Education, Provincial Department of Education and many other schools.

Our basketball team has won the first place in the national high school Southern League match.

More the 90 percents of the graduates of our sports teams have been admitted to key universities, such as Tsinghua University, People's Congress, Shanghai Jiaotong University and Zhejiang University have one, people were Wuhan University, Huazhong University of Science and Technology and Wuhan Polytechnic University and other well-known colleges.

Our achievement is the greatest among all the high schools in Hubei province.
